Course Schedule – Fall 2024 / Old Courses / AUSTRALIA – THE LAND DOWN UNDER

Coordinators: Andrea Irvine, David Bartash, Marion Schultheis

Tucked away in the bottom of the world, isolated for tens of thousands of years, Australia stands unique in the world in so many ways. In this course we will explore the history, geography, culture and wildlife that make this place so singular.

We will look up to the Southern Sky and down to the Great Barrier. We will explore the mystical with Dream Time and the concrete with economics—and the good, bad and ugly of immigration. In the end, we should have a better understanding of this unique and increasingly important part of the world. So, join us as we visit Oz.
