Courses – Spring 2025 / Literature / ORAL INTERPRETATION OF POETRY
Coordinators: Joyce Hinote, Peter Dichter
The human oral tradition goes back millennia, and it began with poetry. It was a way of communicating and telling stories about the world around us and who we are.
In a fun, creative environment, we will continue this tradition as participants read aloud and interpret poetry and study meter, rhyme, alliteration, and other poetic elements that influence a poem’s sound and meaning.
