COURSES – SPRING 2026 / Workshops / CREATIVE WRITING
Coordinators: Helen Saffran, Judy Hampson, Donna Ramer
Creative Writing offers both in-class exercises and an opportunity to share your prose, poetry, plays and essays written at home for comment and critique in a congenial atmosphere.
Each class begins with a ten-minute writing warm-up inspired by a prompt, such as ice cream, a favorite teacher, or a memorable photograph. Other in-class writing might be related to the specific topic of the day: dialog, openings, the senses, vivid description, or character development. All genres are welcome, including science fiction, romance, mystery, memoir, and comedy.
Note:This workshop ends at 3:00 PM.
